Nick Boldt commented on JBIDE-18447:
------------------------------------

"discovery site is only good for one version of JBT/JBDS"

Yes, this is and has always been true. Versioning has traditionally been done more or less the same as the versioning for JBT/JBDS, which is why the plugins are now versioned 4.2 and 8.0.

http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/discovery/development/4.2.0.CR1b/plugins/
http://www.qa.jboss.com/binaries/RHDS/discovery/development/8.0.0.CR1b/plugins/

So... in master we can have 4.3 and 8.1. And in 4.2.x branch, we'll have 4.2 and 8.0.

Easy enough?

> jbosstools-discovery plugin is branched according to JBoss Tools train. However, it contains TPs that are versioned according to Eclipse release train.
> Because of that, we currently have the same version of the Discovery target definitions on both master and jbosstools-4.2.x branch. That leads to some uncertainity about which branch/job is going to publish the Central site.
