OK, it turns out I can reproduce this on a local server as well. The local server uses the management profile.
And another thing, I tried to reproduce it via jboss-cli, but in that case the big war deploys just fine.
So it must be something to do with our tooling I suppose.
[~rob.stryker], can you try again with a local server? If you still cannot reproduce, feel free to ping me on irc.
