I thought It was [~burrsutter]'s request to remove Seam3.
The XML format (and other Seam3 features) was partially moved to CDI 1.1., partially to deltaspike and other extensions and partially abandoned I believe.

I don't know if anybody uses Seam 3 at all (it lived a very short life and it is not supported anymore, right?) but Seam 3 tools are not making any harm either so I personally don't see any problems with removing it or keeping it as it is.
