[~maxandersen] if you install *org.jboss.tools.cdi.seam.feature*, then look in Help > About > Installation details > features and you'll see "Seam 3".  See attached screenshots.

Note that "Seam3" and "Seam 3" only appear in the *JBT* default install, not in JBDS (via BYOE, installer), because cdi.seam.feature is NOT included in the com.j.d.core.feature/feature.xml, only on the update site's CoreTools category.

But if you install from the JBDS update site's "JBoss Developer Studio 9 - Core" (CoreTools) category instead of the "JBoss Developer Studio 9 - Bring Your Own Eclipse" one, you DO get this feature installed.
