You'll also need to check out the following repo, which I've made modifications to: 

with my patches:  https://github.com/robstryker/org.eclipse.launchbar/commits/bugfixes_only
original: http://git.eclipse.org/c/cdt/org.eclipse.launchbar.git/

Finally, you'll need the org.eclipse.remote framework as well: 
git://git.eclipse.org/gitroot/ptp/org.eclipse.remote.git

The PoC still needs a bit of cleanup (such as icons, etc), and the upstream launchbar still needs some cleanup as well.
