Conversation with [~xcoulon] has identified the current tooling allows us access to the pertinent info we need.  Additionally, https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=475235 was opened to expose some of the existing views and dialogs for use by the OpenShift plugins.
