Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-21145:
---------------------------------------------

I see both me and mistria repeating that the composite install test is unnecessary assuming it does the same as building the aggregate will do and that composite-install will trigger and detect change even when nothing actually would change in the aggregate.

Nick, keep saying the composite-install is 'better' somehow - I don't understand why and you keep skipping the part where I say doing the install test against the aggregate.

And I don't grok what this has to do with JBDS :) I've only been talking about the aggregate site for jbosstools. Nor does this change affect when full tests runs etc. Install tests != full tests.

And I find it really bad if our full tests requires a fully functional JBT, JBDS central and EA site. Something is wrong with our tests if that is the case.

> We have often seen old artifacts on nightly sites (mars and neon too).
> It seems that the composite-install job [0], [1] is not reliable. So, the downstream JBT aggregate builds [2], [3] are not triggered automatically to pick up all new changes in the upstream JBT component site builds.
