I would suggest:
1. Complete rules for valid label/value may be put to tooltips for the input label widgets.
2. Error description should be concise. It may be nice to point out the specific problem. Examples:
  Label is not valid. Symbol '@' is not allowed. 
  Label is not valid. Total length cannot be more than 253.
