This seem wrongly assigned to @nickboldt since Ionic is done by @akazakov and @gercan. 

I cannot remember what this issue is about since Ionic FWK support is *not* marked as techpreview.

[~burrsutter] - Is this more about *IF* ionic goes final to upgrade to use those as default ?
