These are few main areas:
* Releng - make compile process @redhat and at eclipse.org less different. This includes removing old stuff  (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=441566), having source tarball generated by eclipse.org builds (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=442770) with all involved underlying issues, moving native builds to eclipse.org builders in order to be able to provide fixed swt timely. See https://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse/PMC February 18, 2015 is good example of these efforts.
* SWT - many bugs like fixing DnD, make sure it works proper with latest gtk, and https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=394739 - tracking mainly issues we haven't scheduled yet and might not get to at all.
* Update underlying libraries to keep eclipse working with other Fedora/RHEL products - Jetty, JUnit, Objectweb-asm, etc. updates in eclipse platform.
