[~maxandersen], ok, then I'm afraid this is something that we never tested. I believe the way we tested was: Update JBDS 8.0.0 to 8.0.2 and only then use the discovery url for 8.0.2 so that we can properly test central with 8.0.2 before it's released.

Update: I checked with Radim Hopp and he confirmed that I am correct and we never tested the way Max suggests.
