Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-20188:
-------------------------------------

They're related but it's not a regression. JBIDE-18085 basically just worked around the issue rather than fix it directly.

The issue is that every node in the tree must properly implement .equals and hashcode() in order for the tree to function entirely as expected. Otherwise, the viewer can't locate your selected object(s) and simply collapses the tree after changes or refreshes

> When you expand an entry in the JMX Navigator into a deeper level ( for instance java.lang -> Compilation ) and then invoke the context menu "Refresh" on that node (Compilation) it collapses the whole tree and you loose your selection.
