Ok... I can't replicate it again. I've replicated it a total of once ever ;)  I'll keep trying, but, it doesn't seem to be happening.  I'm wondering if my failure to replicate might be due to a stackoverflow im getting when opening the preference page:  http://fpaste.org/247174/76047801/
