I now understand what the problem is, I'm just having a hard time fixing it. basically, the lower content of the page is reloaded twice (first from cached content, then from updated content + favorites), you can actually see some quick flicker when that happens. During reloading, dom elements having popped over are destroyed, leaving dangling popovers. The same issue can occur after you created a project, the content is reloaded to update the new favorites. Occasionally you can get stuck popover during that refresh.
