Fred Bricon commented on JBIDE-17732:
-------------------------------------

FTR, Pivotal just recently produced Mars compatible Groovy and m2e-Groovy features. I added the latter to m2e 1.6's discovery catalog. So even with the groovy compiler set in those poms, we can manage to have them working in Eclipse.

But of course, not requiring the groovy compiler unless it's necessary for those samples is even better

> Java EE7 samples (https://github.com/javaee-samples/javaee7-samples/) require the Eclipse Groovy Compiler in order to be imported without any error.
> We should see
> - if the goovy compiler has been released for Luna
> - document how to import the samples in Eclipse in the README.md file on github, so that users know how to import and get started with the samples on Eclipse / JBoss Tools.
