[~aileenc] not currently since expectation was that now we had earlyaccess feature added in JBDS 8, integration stack would be able to at least provide a alpha/beta release *before* JBDS 9 beta got out. 

But since there is not even a GA of JBDS 8 yet - only earlyaccess.
and since JBDS 9 beta1 is going out on monday in sync with Red Hat Summit and Eclipse Mars being released
the chance of fixing it in JBDS 9 Beta1 has gone.

This jira is about what we can possibly do for JBDS 9 beta2 and onwards.

[~lhein] one of the challenges is that some of the EA items are things that are variations of already existing ones. i.e. AngularJS tooling exist in both a GA and an earlyaccess version (the EA adds some additional plugins). 

*but* I definitely want to try and explore if we could make the UI here capable of making it visible.

One way is that we simply add a new "concept" to our discovery mechanism that allows to "advertise" specific upcoming and existing EA connectors. 

This would still be something Integration Stack should relase (i.e. [~pleacu]).

But it could simply be a discovery xml where a new element gets added or simply don't have any IU associated with it and we put info into the description that will be shown to the user if he tries to install a connector that is not available/no yet there.
