I tried jboss-devstudio-8.1.0.GA-v20150327-1349-B467-installer-standalone.jar on Windows 7 32bit.

You're saying that for you when you use jdk1.8.0 on Windows with JBDS 8.1, you still see the error as seen in the description of this JIRA?
