You're right, I reported the "no connector found" issue in JBIDE-19473 . We'll need this fixed before we can fix this one, since this is not an issue that can be fixed without ability to reproduce.
As I mentioned in a 1st comment, I believe it's just a matter of forcing WizardContainer to have a progress monitor, which would provide the "Stop" button similarly to regular p2 wizard.
