It is crazier.

Nothing in the build system should rely on the released updatesite - it all comes from main source repos. The empty updatesite is to avoid an error so we nor users have to constantly tweak the included link.

I do not get why earlyaccess.properties on download.jboss.org is used as *input* to our process - it should only be a destination.
