In the meantime the examples switched to version 1.1 of the xsd:
https://github.com/seam2/jboss-seam/commit/f3077fee9d04b2b3545628cd9e6b58c859feb988

So I couldn't reproduce this at first until I noticed that.

But then I confirmed, that with version 1.0 this problem is present in JBDS 8.0.2.GA and fixed in JBDS 8.1.0.CR1 and JBDS 9.0.0.Alpha1. Closing.
