Mustafa Musaji commented on JBDS-3441:
--------------------------------------

Yep this answers my concerns about confusing customers with runtime and installer Java versions. I'm okay with this change going forward as we have Java 8 support on RHEL 6.6 and later.

Red Hat support explicitly states:
"OpenJDK 8 is included with RHEL 6.6 and RHEL 7.1, and is fully supported." on https://access.redhat.com/solutions/795263

This should be noted in the Docs for JBDS 9 "customers using anything before RHEL 6.6 will need to install Java 8 manually or upgrade to RHEL 6.6"

> If we only support running the JBDS 9.0 IDE with Java 8, then the installer should prevent the user from installing with older versions of Java. Thx!
