Martin Malina commented on JBDS-3445:
-------------------------------------

One addition: I said the installer should allow java 8 or higher. But it will probably make sense to include some kind of warning for java 9 (while still allowing it) saying it's experimental or something. Although Oracle JDK 1.9 is only available as Early Access, so it is pretty obvious that it can't be fully supported. But it's probably still a good idea to add a warning.

> Based on the decision on JBDS PM call today, we will only support JBDS to be running on Java 8 or higher in 9.0.0.Beta1. So the installer shouldn't let users choose java 7 for the installation.
> Just to be clear: The installer itself will still work fine with java 6 or 7.
