I've noticed that importing many projects at once (eg. wildfly) would often freeze the UI thread because of several viewer providers heavily working (something jdt, [~mickael_istria]'s nested viewer, probably others). This was just a quick test, that will require more in-depth investigation. But anyway, I found that closing the Project Explorer view during project import helped speed up the import process *tremendously*, while also preventing UI freezes.

Anyway, I don't have the bandwidth to investigate more for the 4.3.0 release, so punting to 4.3.x
