how do I test the above ? "point at default nightly CI site" means what exactly ?
{quote}

Since the default nightly CI site is the one loaded in ide-config.properties...

{code}
jboss.discovery.directory.url|devstudio|9.0.0.CR1=https://devstudio.redhat.com/9.0/snapshots/builds/jbosstools-discovery.central_master/latest/all/repo/devstudio-directory.xml
jboss.discovery.site.url|devstudio|9.0.0.CR1=https://devstudio.redhat.com/9.0/snapshots/builds/jbosstools-discovery.central_master/latest/all/repo/
jboss.discovery.earlyaccess.site.url|devstudio|9.0.0.CR1=https://devstudio.redhat.com/9.0/snapshots/builds/jbosstools-discovery.earlyaccess_master/latest/all/repo/
# master version of devstudio-earlyaccess.properties should be edited here, so the discovery job can fetch it: https://devstudio.redhat.com/9.0/snapshots/updates/earlyaccess.properties/master/devstudio-earlyaccess.properties
jboss.discovery.earlyaccess.list.url|devstudio|9.0.0.CR1=https://devstudio.redhat.com/9.0/snapshots/builds/jbosstools-discovery.earlyaccess_master/latest/all/repo/devstudio-earlyaccess.properties
jboss.discovery.site.integration-stack.url|devstudio|9.0.0.CR1=https://devstudio.redhat.com/9.0/staging/updates/integration-stack/discovery/9.0.0.Alpha1/
jboss.discovery.site.integration-stack-sap.url|devstudio|9.0.0.CR1=https://devstudio.redhat.com/9.0/development/updates/integration-stack/extras
jboss.discovery.site.integration-stack-sap.feature=org.fusesource.ide.sap.feature.feature.group
{code}

Then all you need to do is get a version of JBDS that identifies itself as CR1. That is, get a nightly CI build [1], install it, and voila, test env set up.

Should also work for JBT, but bear in mind that JBT doesn't show all the same certificationIds in the Central UI because we don't (yet?) show things like Supported, Tested, External, etc. for JBT content, only for JBDS. Because JBDS = product (so supported) whereas JBT = projects (so not supported the same way).

I've also tweaked the copy in my previous commit. Is this PR better? If so I can merge it & build it.

> [~jtyrrell] find it confusing when he cannot see Fuse and other earlyaccess features immediately on the install page.
> Some comments:
> "I install JBDS 8.1 and click on the JBoss Integration and SOA Development, but where is the Fuse tooling in that list."
> "<without earlyaccess> why doesn’t my screen shot tell me to use an older version of JBDS or something."
> Suggestion:
> "when I picked the Integration Stack a greyed out Fuse IDE thingy in the list of choices, and something like (Select early Access) to enable this feature."
> I'm fine exploring options to show early access features more prominently but would prefer we would not need to treat Fuse "special" so maybe we should have a "Early Access" section at the bottom instead of filtered in between everything else ?
> and for any connectors that has additional/different features just add a "Extra features available in Early access " comment ?
> But what to do when Fuse or others dont even have an earlyaccess out yet ? (like is currently the state for devstudio 9)
> [~crobson], [~aileenc] and [~lhein] got any suggestions ?
