Alexey Kazakov commented on JBIDE-20700:
----------------------------------------

OK. This is actually a duplicate of JBIDE-20593
https://github.com/trajano/jaspic-tester uses the same huge glassfish-embedded-all.jar
We have improved performance of JBoss Knowledge Base builder for big JARs dramatically in JBoss Tools 4.3.0.CR1. I have tested the jaspic-tester project in the latest nightly build of JBoss Tools 4.3.0.CR1 and it takes about 40 secs. to full-build the projects on my laptop. There are two projects with glassfish-embedded-all.jar
Most of that time was taken by KB builder. 40 s is still too long but tolerable IMO. In JBoss Tools 4.3.0. Beta2 it took much much longer (for that project I would expect 10 minutes or even longer).
[~scabanovich] please take a look at this case. Let's see what else we can improve here.

> When loading up a multi-module Maven project with EAR, WAR and jar components on a fresh installation of Eclipse where the following have been added
> * Tycho Project Configurator
> * EclEmma
> * JBoss Tools 4.3.0Beta2
> I am getting Eclipse hanging on *Invoking JBoss Knowledge Base Builder*. Clicking on cancel does not cancel the operation either.
> The workaround is to disable the *JBoss Knowledge Base* in each WAR and JAR project.
