Nick Boldt edited comment on JBIDE-20100 at 9/18/15 4:04 PM:
-------------------------------------------------------------

PR to mark all the not available, unreleased, not on early access content in JBTIS and JBDSIS listed as "not available" via the IS plugins:

https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-integration-stack/pull/426

Once stuff is available on the EA site, @pleacu can uncomment the stuff in the .earlyaccess plugins to expose them when the user enables Early Access.

And, once stuff is out of EA and fully GA'd / available, those connectors in the GA plugin can be switched from .notavailable to .supported, and the missing IUs can be added back in (copied from the EA plugin version). You can then also remove the blurb about "Available in Red Hat JBoss Developer Studio 8.x. Coming soon to 9.0 - stay tuned. " from the connector descriptions.

Hope that all makes sense.

(2015-09-18 15:54:18) nboldt1: we need to build this version and get those jars into the JBT/JBDS discovery site so that QE can verify JBIDE-20100 is happy
(2015-09-18 15:54:30) nboldt1: BEFORE you then change it to move stuff from NA to EA
(2015-09-18 15:54:54) pleacu: nboldt1: okay - makes sense
(2015-09-18 15:55:13) nboldt1: so... review my PR. if you like it, build it. then take the 4 resulting plugins and put them into the staging site for QE (check emails I sent around 1:30pm today) -- eg., http://lists.jboss.org/pipermail/jbosstools-dev/2015-September/010536.html

(2015-09-18 15:55:25) nboldt1: then you can link them up by editing the directory.xml files
(2015-09-18 15:55:34) nboldt1: and voila, your NA content will be in our staging site

In future, this manual process of getting your content into our staging site will be handled automatically via JBIDE-20664.

> [~jtyrrell] find it confusing when he cannot see Fuse and other earlyaccess features immediately on the install page.
> Some comments:
> "I install JBDS 8.1 and click on the JBoss Integration and SOA Development, but where is the Fuse tooling in that list."
> "<without earlyaccess> why doesn’t my screen shot tell me to use an older version of JBDS or something."
> Suggestion:
> "when I picked the Integration Stack a greyed out Fuse IDE thingy in the list of choices, and something like (Select early Access) to enable this feature."
> I'm fine exploring options to show early access features more prominently but would prefer we would not need to treat Fuse "special" so maybe we should have a "Early Access" section at the bottom instead of filtered in between everything else ?
> and for any connectors that has additional/different features just add a "Extra features available in Early access " comment ?
> But what to do when Fuse or others dont even have an earlyaccess out yet ? (like is currently the state for devstudio 9)
> [~crobson], [~aileenc] and [~lhein] got any suggestions ?
