It seems like the issue is in m2e-wtp or wtp which strongly assumes that web module URL relies on project name; whereas for Maven it's more the artifactId that is to be used. Is this web module URL computed dynamically everytime or is it set as a project setting? If the later, then it may just be m2e-wtp that misses an instruction to set it.
