The installer did complete initially. I've done the install/uninstall a few times to test iterative versions of the installer, so maybe there is something left over in cleanup during uninstall, or there is just something odd about timeout. Attaching log in a second, I just started it again earlier to test and it looks like it's stuck at the same point for some time now.
