[~adietish] I am unable to intelligently comment because I don't know what the cli or web allows.  Volumes (I think) can be tricky due to the backing implementations that must be supported (e.g NFS vs ??).  This could be as simple as adding in the abstraction and then a user needs to due some additional action in a follow-on step or something more.  I would say in the CR1 timeline its probably a non-starter.
