To reproduce, for all my testing I deployed https://github.com/openshift/origin/blob/master/examples/sample-app/application-template-stibuild.json to openshift which is a ruby application that uses a mysql database.  Once deployed, one should see generally what you would see in the web console:
* backend service
* * backend application pod
backend deploymentconfig
backend deployment(replication controller)

* frontend service
** frontend application pod
frontend builds
frontend build config
frontend deploymentconfig
frontend deployments
frontened imagestreams
frontened route

Any resource that is associated with a specific service should appear in the tabs
