Reading through https://dev.eclipse.org/recommenders/community/confess/#/guide I see some great (um, not really) doc on how to configure the server to collect errors:

However, further customizations (like whitelist modifications) may be required. Contact us on the mailing list for latest instructions. Patches that make the error reporter usable outside the Eclipse IDE setup are welcome.
