Downloaded this installer [1] - verified, no splash shown even though the splash.bmp appears in C:\Users\nboldt\devstudio\studio\configuration\org.eclipse.equinox.launcher\com.jboss.devstudio.core_10.0.0.GA-v20160602-1031-B5499 folder.

Possible fix: remove color space information [2].
