If after installing JBoss Tools (or anything else that requires jgit/egit) you have multiple copies of org.eclipse.jgit or org.eclipse.egit just delete the old ones from your install and restart eclipse with the  -clean flag. You should only have ONE copy of the jgit/egit plugins/features.
