More radical solution could be that aproach when you run a bash or cmd (on windows) process and write a command to it. It works everywhere (mac, win, linux). You don't need to care about PATH at all. Take a look at http://git.eclipse.org/c/jsdt/webtools.jsdt.git/tree/nodejs/org.eclipse.wst.jsdt.js.cli/src/org/eclipse/wst/jsdt/js/cli/core/CLI.java
