"seriously broken" ... this is what happens when you get use constraint violations with javax.servlet. NOTHING works, because EVERYTHING depends on that bundle.

Meanwhile, my PR was merged into Spring IDE master branch: https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-ide/commit/2f50e2632b50b3217a88bb0a33f67d814fb7ec8c

So now we just need to get a nightly build and verify it works as I expect. 

That said, this won't be fixed for devstudio 10.2, because it's unlikely we have time to get the 3.8.3.RELEASE build, install it into TP/Central, and get it QE-verified... all before EOD Nov 23.

So, instead we're looking at removing the Software/Update tab from Red Hat Central when installed via RPM: JBDS-4195
