Verified in devstudio 10.4.0.AM3.
In a new workspace, cdk server was setup using xhyve hypervisor in agreement with what I had in ~/.minishift/config/config.json . Then I changed the file to say virtualbox and started a new workspace. This time virtualbox was used for the cdk 3 server adapter. Closing.
