Rob Stryker commented on JBIDE-24894:
-------------------------------------

So far I've replicated a real-world bug, where the RSE start-args of as3.2, as4.0, and others, are empty.

However, the failing method is getJNDIPort(), which means anything that attempts to get the jndi port, or the port offset, will crap out. A second result is that even fi you change the JNDI port, the editor will use the default.

I think the effects of this NPE may be much wider in reach than expected. The number of failing tests at https://dev-platform-jenkins.rhev-ci-vms.eng.rdu2.redhat.com/job/server.it.weekly/15/ jumped from 92 to 432... which is a huge jump.

> it's possible the fix in JBIDE-24758 has created an NPE opportunity with substantial effects. While testing must go on, to isolate concrete broken usecases, the jira should be opened now.
