My goal is to be able to rebuild a tagged version of Fuse Tooling several months/weeks after.
If I'm based on SNAPSHOT I can't ensure that i will rebuild the same thing and that ti will still work the same.

I really don't understand why you think that using a tagged version is not the right thing.
