It's all working fine for me on Mac in devstudio-10.3.0.GA-v20170216-0546-B7103-installer-standalone.jar .
Even the UI for selecting your vm provider is there now - done in JBIDE-23896 .
I believe Ondrej Dockal is testing this on Windows and had some comments on the other JIRA.
