Well, if you just want to use tags, you can fetch sources from https://github.com/jbosstools/jbosstools-build/releases and rebuild the parent pom if you'd like. 

But I could also consider releasing parent poms (removing the SNAPSHOT suffix and republishing to Nexus) once every 12 weeks, if there's really a value to be gained from that other than "it's easier than checking github to see if anything changed". :D
