Update: Jenkins global tool config [1] was tweaked to have these versions installed automatically from apache website:
maven-3.3.9
maven-3.5.0
maven-3.5.2
Additionally, maven3-latest will use maven-3.5.2.

Conversely, on the tools share [2] maven3-latest points to maven-3.5.0 and 3.5.2 is not there at all. So I created a ticket to update those:
