Rob Stryker commented on JBTIS-1155:
------------------------------------

As a note, I'm not sure downgrading the http client is the right solution. The new http client is developed against newer specs of NTLM. While downgrading may make sense in a few specific (older) environments, I strongly suspect that downgrading the client would result in more problems than less. Remember, downgrading is a workaround for users who experience a specific issue. More often than not, downgrading will degrade performance against newer environments, as newer releases have better performance against those newer environments.

> Users behind proxy report a problem with access to REST services and update problems.
> Research suggests this problem might be related to recent versions of Apache HTTPClient.
