[~nickboldt] The reason why i suspect there is a timeout is that there does not seem to be a summary of the failed tests in the console log after running the tests of org.jboss.tools.hibernate.orm.test:

As you can see it just starts with the next project (which is org.jboss.tools.hibernate.runtime.spi.test. Normally I would expect something like this (this is the summary of org.jboss.tools.hibernate.runtime.spi.test):

The DuplicateMappingExceptions don't have an influence on the test results. There should be no difference between java 9 and java 8 in this respect.
