[~ksuzumur] https://openshift.io is not an OpenShift server, you're using the wrong url. You can find the right url by first going to the openshift server that's listed in your user settings:
 !openshift-io-user-settings.png! 
and once you're in that web-frontend you can copy the "Login Command" for oc and extract the url and token for it:
 !openshift-online-copy-login-command.png!

In this sense your issue is invalid. On other hand I agree that the user experience is bad, there's no way that a new user would know where to get the url from.
So we should think about how to improve things.
In JBIDE-26117 we planned to have our connection wizard parsing what you get form "Copy Login Command". But that's not good enough for openshift.io, there are still 2 clicks to get from openshift.io to the actual OpenShift server.
We could add a warning in the connection wizard where a user provides "https://openshift.io" into the server url input box he's warned that the url is likely invalid and he has to get to the user settings, get to the OpenShift Server that's listed there and then copy the login command.
