Jeff this is inside eclipse 2018-09 with 4.9.0.Final with the JDT 11 support plugin (https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/java-11-support-eclipse-2018-09-49)

If I uninstall the plugin and just use java 8 it works fine. 

Like I said I don't know if this is an issue with Jboss Tools or the JDT Java 11 support.
