Snippet to reproduce the problem with. Run the snippet and observe text drawn outside of combo.

To reproduce, run the attached SWT snippet "Bug_long_text_in_combo.java".

I observe this first with Eclipse 4.8 I20180509-2000, which contains the fix for bug 500703. Before this, with similar layouts, the combo would span over widgets to the left of it in order to fit the entire text. So not really a degradation due to the fix for bug 500703, just a problem that becomes visible with that fix.

Behaviour with GTK2 is to cut off the text at where the drop-down button starts.
