I agree that we shouldn't reword the xsd in text docs, but I just grepped what I think is the schema and I can't find that probe operation:

(maybe its not called probe, the operation to resync the view of the object store)

Also we should make sure our docs are still somewhat grepable: CLI, tools tooling should get a link to wherever the documentation for the CLI resides (as you suggest).
