Mike did the following: "Manage Jenkins > Manage Nodes > Configure, and uncheck the "Response time" box". Lets see what happens through the weekend.
That's Mike's comment on this based on stack exchange: "This monitors the round trip network response time from the master to the slave, and if it goes above a threshold repeatedly, it marks the slave offline."
