I checked once more on Oracle Database 10g Express Edition, and it seemed to work fine.
Note that it is not creating a table for Group, it is using the OrganizationalEntity table for that, with Dtype "Group" or "User".
Could you provide a stack trace and the exact version of OracleDB hibernate dialect and oracle driver you are using?
