AFAIK there are no problems for the developers. This was first brought up when we started doing DeltaSpike and JBoss didn't have all the APIs so we had to use geromino jars for the API to comply with Apache's IP clearance. I was also thinking of this for the Fedora packaging they're working on. If it's coming from Fedora, why not use jars JBoss/Red Hat creates? Right now they'll probably have to use Geromino jars for the RPMs.
